This amp has a sweet spot for every guitar out there. The new Halsted circuit design incorporates a preamp and master volume. The Halsted is capable of producing vintage and modern tones for home play or small club venues. The amp has a controlled blusey break-up and with the addition of the preamp/master volume, the gain can be adjusted to obtain a crunchy tone with lots of sustain for smooth lead runs.
Rolling down the guitars volume lowers the input gain levels and results in a warm, sparkly clean tone. The amp is very responsive to pick attack and really warms up to any gain pedal. It's bottom end is tight and responsive, there's no speaker "flap" with this amp. The amps EQ stack and power amp feedback loop have been designed in such a way that the circuit will enhance the natural harmonics of your instrument. Once you start playing this amp you'll never want to turn it off.
