Buddy Guy toured with this amp during his 2005 US bus tour.
It was run through a 1x12 Tone Tubby cabinet and used in place of his JCM800. Why? Because this amp has a warmer tone that is traditionally American. But, at the same time this amp pumps out all the gut wrenching tone of a British style amp. The SIGNATURE amp is powered by a pair of 6L6 tubes running in class A/B operation.
The panel features: on/off, standby, large jewel lamp, preamp, master, treble, mid, bass, presence and feedback control as well as high and low input jacks. The feedback control allows the user to dial in as much power amp gain and break-up as so desired or dial the power amp down for a more transparent/clean tone. The rear panel has two speaker out jacks, a removable cord receptacle, an 8 or 16 ohm switch and is fused both at AC mains and B+ power taps.
The cabinet being offered is a 2x12 closed back. Options include Tone Tubby ceramic or Alnico, or Eminence designs. A combination of any of the listed speaker configuration can be custom selected. Ask us for recommended speaker config.
